About Our Courses
SoundMind is accredited to deliver Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) courses, Breathworks Living Well courses for those suffering with pain, stress and illness and the Mindfulness in Schools Project curricula.
Our 8 week courses are recognised as a prerequisite for teacher training in mindfulness for adults and young people.
Mindfulness For Health
Our 8 week courses offer a multi-faceted approach to managing stress and living well. During the weekly sessions we cultivate strategies to improve the quality of everyday life and develop a sense of inner peace. Each session combines teaching, guided meditations and discussion and we provide audio and written materials to support your mindfulness practice. During the course you will learn:
- Mindfulness meditations including: mindfulness of breathing, kindness and compassion practices, the body scan, mindful eating and walking meditations.
- Body awareness and relaxation.
- Breath awareness.
- Gentle mindful movement.
- Practical Skills to manage stress and support a balanced, calmer life.
Through practice, we cultivate a relaxed awareness of our experiences as they unfold, enabling us to be more resilient to life’s ups and downs as well as being able to notice and savour the experiences that bring us real joy.
Mindfulness For Health
